Be Different

Jude 1:8-9 KJV Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. [9] Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

What interesting verses in light of the circumstances of the day. Jude begins to point out the characteristics of those who oppose God. They defile the flesh, they make their life dirty with sin. They also despise dominion or reject authority. They also speak evil of dignities or show disrespect to those in authority. We, as the children of God, ought to have a completely different attitude. We should set the right example in all three areas. Our lives should be clean, we should follow the authorities God has placed in our life, and we should show the proper respect to authorities. These actions would allow the world to see Christ in us.
