Dual Citizenship

1 Peter 2:17-18 KJV Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. [18] Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
Peter is still dealing with the idea of our citizenship. We who are saved are first and foremost citizens of heaven, Being a citizen of heaven does negate us of our responsibilities to others. In every area of our life, we are to do right unto others. We are to do right to any person we meet along the way. We are to do right to those who are our Christian brother and sisters. We are even to honor the civil leadership in our life. Even at work, we are to treat our employer right. Being a heavenly citizen means that we conduct ourselves as good citizens in our everyday life.
