Matthew 5:10

Matthew 5:10 KJV Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for their’s is the kingdom of God.

As children of God, we are not called to life of ease. We are called to endure hardness as a good soldier (2 Tim. 2:3). We are called to be made conformable to His death (Phil. 3:10). If we, as children of God, live for Him, we can expect persecution. Jesus that if the world hated Him, the world would hate us (John 15:18). Our response to persecution is to endure by the grace of God. His grace is available and sufficient for every situation. Our reward is not here on this earth. Our reward is in heaven. We must remember that we are just pilgrims passing through this land.
