Sanctified

Jude 1:1-2 KJV Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: [2] Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

As we begin a study of the little book of Jude, we notice three truths about those of us who have trusted Christ as our Savior. The first of these truths is that we are sanctified. This means that God has set us apart from sin and the world unto Himself. We are to live in a way that reflects that we belong to Him. In addition to God sanctifying us, we are to live a sanctified life. We are to separate ourselves from those influences that would draw us away from our God and back into the world.
